A Family Tradition

At Meinecke-Johnson we have a proud history in building construction. Since Casper Johnson first entered the construction business in the late 1800s, it has remained a family tradition, and today Meinecke-Johnson is run by fourth and fifth generations of Johnsons. Over the years, we’ve expanded our building construction services beyond general contracting to include construction management and design/build.
Since the beginning, we’ve specialized in commercial construction in areas such as education, healthcare, hospitality, retail, business, and public facilities. Our clients have entrusted us with some of the most recognizable buildings in the Fargo area, including West Acres Mall, Concordia College’s bell tower and the Federal Courthouse in downtown Fargo. Many of our older projects have outlived their original purposes and have gone on to become city landmarks. In addition to local buildings, we’ve been selected for construction projects throughout North Dakota and across the country. Our attention to detail, level of craftsmanship, and ambition to take on new challenges have helped us become a preferred partner among the top building owners.

Eric is the fourth generation in the Johnson family to work at Meinecke-Johnson. After starting in the field in 1991, he eventually went on to oversee office activities and job site safety. He is proud to be involved in highly successful building projects and be surrounded by such a strong team.
